Eugene is a highly experienced investment portfolio manager with more than 20 years of industry experience, having served in key roles as the head of analytics in leading investment companies, including Alor Invest and co-founder of BetaCapital, a licensed asset management company in Eastern Europe. During his tenure, he successfully managed assets worth over $100 million.
With a consistent track record of outperforming benchmark indices in public equity markets, Eugene is recognized as an expert in technical and fundamental analysis of both stock and crypto markets. His expertise in these areas allows him to identify key investment opportunities that others might miss.
Currently, Eugene is focused on developing fundamental investment strategies for the crypto market, with an additional emphasis on statistical arbitrage, algorithmic trading and opportunities in decentralized finance. By leveraging his deep understanding of market trends and his technical analysis skills, he is able to identify profitable investment opportunities in this rapidly evolving sector.
Eugene holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia, and has continually demonstrated his ability to apply his academic knowledge to practical investment scenarios. His skillset and experience make him a valuable addition to any investment fund looking to capitalize on opportunities in the rapidly evolving world of crypto.
Eugene brings over two decades of extensive experience in investment banking and venture capital/private equity. He has a proven track record of successful investments, including in the fast-growing field of crypto assets and emerging markets.
Eugene began his career in 2005 at JPMorgan’s London office, where he was part of the mergers and acquisitions group covering the oil and gas sectors before moving on to cover the telecom, media, and technology sectors. In 2008, he joined TPG Capital, a leading global private equity firm with over $100 billion in assets under management, where he focused on private equity investments in Eastern Europe, Israel, and Turkey.
In 2011, Eugene moved to Warburg Pincus, another global private equity firm with over $70 billion in assets under management, to develop Eastern European investments from the company’s London office. Since 2012, he has been leading private equity investments in Eastern Europe, backed by institutional investors such as JPMorgan, EBRD, IFC, ADIA, and Mubadala.
In addition to his impressive professional accomplishments, Eugene holds an MBA with First Year Honors from the Harvard Business School in Boston, USA, and a BA in Economics with Distinction from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia.
Since 2022, Eugene has been fully dedicated to investing in blockchain projects, demonstrating his passion for identifying innovative investment opportunities in emerging technologies.
